<p>Although we have all heard that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, many of us skip it for one reason or another. We may not be in the mood to eat early in the morning, we might not have time, or we might be trying to cut back on calories. However, this isn&#8217;t really a good idea. There are a lot of reasons why it is important to get a healthy breakfast.</p>
<p>If you want to have the energy to get through the morning, you should fuel up your body with a healthy breakfast. Otherwise you will be so hungry you will grab whatever might be handy, regardless of whether or not it is actually healthy or filling. Then you are more likely to end up gaining unwanted weight.</p>
<p>For those who are worried about calories, it has actually been shown that people who eat breakfast generally end up eating fewer calories in the course of the day than those who skip breakfast. Why is this? Most likely because if you skip breakfast you are starving later in the day so you end up eating a huge lunch and dinner to make up for it. Or you feel virtuous because of the calories you &#8220;saved&#8221; so you allow yourself an extra treat or two.</p>
<p>A healthy breakfast can help you to concentrate better so that you are more productive. It will also deliver minerals and vitamins that you need, and make it more likely that you won&#8217;t have high cholesterol.</p>
<p>For a good breakfast, you should opt for a meal containing fruits or vegetables, low fat dairy, lean protein, and whole grains. Try to include two or more of these groups so you will get plenty of nutrients and feel full until it is time for the next meal.</p>
<p>If you are in a time crunch, there are a lot of things you can either eat quickly or take with you to eat on your way or once you get to work or school. Healthy breakfast options include an apple and a whole grain bagel spread with peanut butter. Add a glass of milk for even more nutritional benefit.</p>
<p>Planning ahead and preparing breakfast or setting out everything you need the night before can really help people who are in a time crunch in the mornings. This way you can quickly either grab your breakfast to take with you or eat it before you leave.</p>
<p>For those who don&#8217;t like typical breakfast foods, there are lots of other healthy options available. You can eat leftovers from dinner, a sandwich made from whole wheat bread, or even leftover vegetable pizza.</p>

<p>There are a number of different tips that could be learned when discussing the subject of food photography and what every food photographer should know. We will go cover a few of the introductory tips here. Some of the important ideas to keep in mind are lighting, props, quickness and enhancement. Here we will learn techniques for food photographers to take the next step.</p>
<p>Let there be light</p>
<p>The first important technique food photographers should learn is about lighting. When photographing food you should treat it as you would any other kind of subject and make sure it is lit correctly. Many pictures can be improved by using adequate lighting. Natural light is the best light source to use, so by a window is an ideal location. Natural light cuts out the shadows, and gives the food a more natural look which all food photographers want.</p>
<p>Use of props</p>
<p>With food photography props often save the day. The reason restaurants use big and fancy plates to serve food on is because we eat first with our eyes! Choosing the right props for a food shot is imperative. Get it right - masterpiece. Get it wrong - roll up your sleeves and start again.</p>
<p>If you do a lot of food photography then shopping at second hand markets can be a great way to build your box of props. You can pick up expensive items like large pots and dishes and vases for a few dollars and a smile. If you do not do much then you may have to go shopping for what you need and bill the client!</p>
<p>Be Fast</p>
<p>Unfortunately food won&#8217;t stay appealing for very long. As a food photographer you will want to be well prepared and ready to shoot your picture as soon as the dish is finished. This will give it no time to melt, collapse or lose its color. So knowing what you want the picture to turn out like will help you to prepare for the photo. One way food photographers prepare is to have everything arranged before the food is finished. By placing a temporary stand-in plate is an excellent way to get the lighting right, and when the food is finished you switch it with the finished dish and your picture is ready to be taken.</p>
<p>Instant way to improve your photos </p>
<p>An excellent food photographer will want to learn this last but not least creative technique when it comes to taking photographs of food. And that is to use a small amount of vegetable oil that you have on hand and brush it on the food. This will make your dish glisten and stand out deliciously in your pictures.</p>
<p>Touch base with the chef</p>
<p>You will usually be working with a food professional be it a stylist or chef. Hopefully you are not on a low budget shoot and have to do the displays yourself.</p>
<p>Take a few minutes before the shoot to talk with the chef and ask them how they like to work. Ask them if there is anything you need to know about the food that may not be obvious. If nothing else this will make them feel good so you will then be able to work closer and better together.</p>

<p>With the up to date economic changes, many families are trying to find out how to get back to basics and concentrate on quality, inexpensive solutions. Whether you choose to take your youngsters to the local park rather than going to the movies or growing your own tomatoes rather than ordering pizza, you most likely need to provide the absolute best you can for your folks without breaking the bank.</p>
<p>In my home, we adopted pancake Saturdays rather than the common trip to the local diner. My boy, who is 3, loves to help measure the ingredients and let me know when it is pancake time as the water is dancing in the pan. Although it could appear like a particularly minor change, it has been exponential in the experiences my family has gained. My son loves to find out how to cook, and i know i can add extra fiber to the pancakes, swap out turkey bacon for pork bacon and keep us all a little fitter. It also permits us to take a seat together for breakfast, which gurus agree can contribute to combating obesity.</p>
<p>With the changes my family has experienced from something as simple as a home cooked breakfast, I am always looking for alternative routes to bring our family closer together. </p>
<p>The Zojirushi Home Bakery Mini Bread Machine is my most recent find. We have a very small kitchen, and counter top property is expensive. <p>Despite the fact that no basis can be found proving that any single food is capable of causing cancer, there is a great deal of evidence that certain kinds of foods can protect us against cancer. As a generic food group, fruit and vegetables should be eaten at least 5 times a daily. While many American and European  doctors recommend5, they do so because they feel that 5 is a manageable number, yet 8 is more realistic and some doctors even recommend 8 vegetables and 3 fruits.</p>
<p>However, whatever the amount of fruit and vegetables should be eaten a day, most of the cancer studies seem to agree that the incidence of cancer is low when the intake of fruit and vegetables is high in a society.  Equally important is the fact that there is no recorded study any where in the world that has blamed a single case of cancer on a fruit or a vegetable.</p>
<p>Initially, the antioxidant effect of fruits and vegetables are considered the one responsible for the protection that seem to confer on vegetarians. The antioxidant nutrients in fruits and vegetables prevent oxidative damage to the cells and DNA by free radicals, and they prevent the initiation of damage that starts the cancer in the first place.</p>
<p>There is a strong suggestion that these nutrients also protect the lipids which are present in the cellular membranes, and may contribute to the stabilization of cells. Also they may have a wide variety of chemical components that play a very active part in the overall protection against cancer, but research into this area is relatively new. The promotion of certain types of food that have been called super foods has arisen because of a marketing technique, rather than science. The growth of the use of food to promote health and reduce the risk of disease has led to the rapid development of food that possesses these capabilities.</p>
<p>Blueberries and bilberries or Vaccinium myrtillus, contains anthocyanin. T Nutrients in bilberry, protect against free radical damage and they also avoid damage from certain toxins especially potassium bromate, a fairly common food additive. Bilberry can protect against damage from radiation and it strengthens the capillaries.</p>
<p>However, bilberries or any other berry is not a super food and cannot give more protection than eating a wide range of fruit and vegetables. Even if you eat a kilo of bilberries it is still only one fruit from a nutrition point of view. Increasing the amount of unprocessed food such as fruit and vegetables, wholegrain cereals nuts and seeds will confer a greater health benefit than concentrating on the miracle qualities of Tropical rain forest berries.</p>
<p>There is moderately strong evidence that stomach and colorectal cancers occur less in communities that routinely eat over 500g of fruit and vegetables a day. There is less strong evidence that the same levels of fruit and vegetables protect against esophagus breast and lung cancers. There is a possible preventative factor in the case of prostrate, pancreatic, bladder and cervical cancers.</p>

<p>For the bride on a budget, here are some ways to cut costs on your wedding photos: </p>
<p>1.) Search Among Your Family or Friends for a Photographer. There is certain to be somebody who is into photography and owns better equipment than ordinary folks normally have. Try to find a relation who takes good photos and you can ask him to help out. You should employ the services of the persons who are willing to assist to trim your wedding expenses. If you do find somebody, be sure to speak with them in advance and make him/her aware of any particular poses you desire. </p>
<p>2. Employ a Student in Photography attending a college in your area. They will enjoy the opportunity to record the event in photos and supplement their portfolio at the same time. Yes, they aren&#8217;t professionals, but you can rely on them to come to the job with a fresh outlook and a desire to try some creative approaches, making for some memorable photos. </p>
<p>(3) Many people give guests disposable cameras as an option to getting photos of their event. Give each table a themed disposable camera and let your guests take the photographs. You will get a variety of shots, all from different angles; this way you can pick which ones you like best. Put one person in charge of collecting the cameras and taking them to be developed. </p>
<p>(4) If you must have a professional do the job, shop around and contact several photographers for quotes. Tell them you are trying to stay to a strict budget and see what they can do for you. You may well be pleasantly surprised by their reaction. Cutting back on the amount of photos taken will also help you stay within your photo budget.</p>

<p>With the rise in availability of organic food and increased stats of obesity many people are turning to fitter options for their meals. But attempting to be healthier can be frightening if it means more time cooking recipes, higher grocery bills and sad diners. </p>
<p>Choosing more healthy food doesn&#8217;t mean you&#8217;ve got to work more and spend  more. With a food processor, like the Cuisinart Mini-Prep, you can instantly add more healthy ingredients to your meals. </p>
<p>Do Food Processors really Work? Yes. And, they aren&#8217;t the large monster appliances they were forty years ago. <p>Can&#8217;t I just employ a Blender? Technically, yes. But, you wouldn&#8217;t be in a position to process the foods as quickly and it would probably be much tougher to clean. <p>Dragonflies are ancient insects dating back over 180 million years old.  In the USA alone there are over 650 species of dragonflies in the US alone.  These amazing creatures have been a symbol of grace in teachings of Feng Shui, and a symbol in shamanism for transformation and seeing in a new light.  </p>
<p>The dragonfly spends the first two years of life in the water as a nymph.  Then they change completely, growing wings and taking flight.  With great speed and agility they master the art of flight in a way similar to the hummingbird.</p>
<p>During its two year incubation cycle in the water the dragonfly sheds up to fifteen skins.  The dragonfly also holds the qualities of the water, contributing to its grace.  Water holds deep seated thoughts, emotions, and the yin quality of introspect.  </p>
<p>Because the dragonfly has two distinct worlds within its full lifecycle, with the nymph stage of its earlier water life, and the air based life of flight, the dragonfly is a symbol of transformation.  With all great transitions in life we must understand that there are steps along the way, and all change takes time.</p>
<p>The eyes of a dragon fly give many perspectives, reminding us to look past the illusions we carry in life.  The wings, though transparent, hold the luminous reflection of many colors, offering us a doorway into the many spectrums of energy we have in our spiritual realm.</p>
<p>The dragonfly can be utilized as a symbol for understanding an aspect of our evolutionary process in life.  Taken as a whole our life is very transformational, seen or unseen.  We can learn patience and faith that the steps we take will lead us in the right direction.</p>

<p>Most people don&#8217;t have $10 to spend for a daily lunch when their budget&#8217;s are already being pulled and twisted. In this tough times, it&#8217;s time to go back to basics&#8230;the infamous brown bag! Here are a few ways that you can save on lunch with the working world&#8217;s long time &#8220;friend&#8221;, the brown bag lunch:</p>
<p>Buy for cheap some of your favorite lunchmeats by using coupons. You can make fabulous sandwiches just by having the right meat and bread. Add in some veggies and a bag salad that you can buy for cheap and use for a couple of days, and your lunch will be a very enjoyable meal.</p>
<p>Before you buy that expensive specialty bread, check in your supermarkets bakery section to see if they have any breads on markdown or clearance. Many supermarket bakeries will usually will discount breads that are close to the expiration date. You can expect to buy for cheap some of the most delicious breads that they offer. Don&#8217;t be surprised if you get a $5 loaf of bread for 50-cents. These stores would rather sell the bread than simply discard it. So, take advantage.</p>
<p>When you make dinner, put a few portions aside for your lunch. Freeze them individually and then you can eat them over a period of time. You can buy for cheap plastic, microwavable containers that you can just pop in the microwave at your job. By freezing them, you don&#8217;t have to have the same thing for dinner and then turn around and have it for lunch. But&#8230;a week later, it could be a great lunch dish to enjoy.</p>
<p>One of the cheapest and most filling lunch options around is pasta. Not only can you buy for cheap the pasta and sauce, you can get even great savings by buying them on sale and with coupons! Plus, pasta is very healthy for you as long as you don&#8217;t overeat or put too much fattening stuff in it. For roughly 70-centers per pound or just about free when you catch a deal and use coupons, you could have a wonderful lunch meal.</p>
<p>Plan your lunch over a period of time for saving, cost-cutting, and stretching your money. This is a strategy that you can&#8217;t afford not to use. This is how you will save&#8230;not only will you be able to incorporate home cooked meals into your lunch plans, but if you plan to have dinner with a business associate or for an upcoming event, you can plan to save a portion of your meal. Just ask for a carry-out container and there you have it&#8230;another day&#8217;s meal!</p>
<p>Don&#8217;t let your lunch cause you a big financial problem during this economy crisis. It&#8217;s supposed to be your little daily time to relax.
