An aged cuban cigar is a great cigar
Since the day Cuban cigars were discovered, they have enjoyed a healthy growth with period of slowness every once in a while. That is just a natural curve for things, you go up, you come down, you stay steady for a while, you get the idea. Cuban cigars once professionally packaged, were ready to go right off the bat. You would just open a cuban cigar box of your favorite Montecristo cigars or what not and go from there. Sometimes you would share them with a rest of your friends, sometimes you would simply keep them to your yourself.
It is not known when someone realized that if you age the Cuban cigar leaves, it makes the flavors get even more complex. I’m sure it was a fluke - aren’t all good things discovered like that? Although Cuban cigars are ready to be enjoy straight out of the box (Which usually has 25 cigars), If you let them age for a while, you will be pleasantly surprised. I’m not talking about couple of days or months, I’m talking about years. The Cohiba brand already has aged leaves in them thus making it extra special. Ofcourse I can go an on about Cohiba cigars but I’ll save that for another time.
So just let them do their thing for a few years and watch them get even more amazing over the years. You will notice that the construction gets better and overall structure of your Cuban cigar. So how do age a Cuban cigar? Well by simply getting a humidor and placing them in their. A humidor is a square or rectangle shaped object that has the proper properties to help you age your cigar. The main thing here is temperature and the idea is to mimic the same temperature they have in Cuba. I guess you can say a humidor is like a mini Cuba in the comfort of your own home.
The great thing about present times is you can easily get access to a humidor that is right for you. If you are a big time cigar aficionado, than go for the big time and create a room humidor. A room humidor is basically converting a room in your house into a personal humidor. Yes naturally they are expensive but they are also the best. If you are looking for something most people go for, than try a table humidor. Table humidor are perfect because they not only store your cigars, but they also serve as great pieces to put around the house so your friends can enjoy them too.
If I were you, I would invest in a humidor immediately and store those precious stogies in them. Than I would leave that humidor somewhere safe, clean, away from water and in a cool place and let it do it’s thing. It is recommended that you check up on it every once in a while just to make sure everything is working fine. I usually do it every two weeks or so. After that, or should I say after a few years, waiting for you will be some amazing Cuban cigars.
